My current title is Principal Systems Engineer. I received my BSEE in 1985 from Ohio Northern U. and have been employed in the Aerospace and Government/Military contracting industry since that time. I've worked a wide range of projects and various aspects of complex, real-time software intensive systems from sensors (radar, sonar, etc.) to command, control and data systems. Recent concentrations (last 5-7 yrs) have been focused on enterprise level architectures such as service oriented and net-centric and have included technical, programmatic, business and governance aspects of how to employ and leverage the advantages of these concepts and design patterns. I participate with industry consortia and forums such as the Association For Enterprise Integration (AFEI).
Several years ago I spent a considerable amount of time learning about the US Clean Air Act and participating in public review of industry permitting under both the New Source Review (NSR) and Title V, Part 70 Operating Permit programs. I attended several EPA training events, submitted comments on rule making, consideration of Indiana's State Implementation Plan (SIP), individual permits and a successful appeal of an NSR permit to the US EPA Environmental Appeals Board (EAB). Having a Steel Mill built across the street from your home can provide significant incentive for such things...
