Definition Shift in a political system's configuration of voters' partisan identifications and political parties' vote shares. [d] [e]

Probably doesn't need disambiguation due to the second word in the title...

But "partisan" is ambiguous. Outside the political realm, it is a common term, especially in Europe, for guerilla. It's also a medieval weapon; a partisan is to a halberd is as a double-bitted (i.e., bladed) axe is to a single-bladed axe. Howard C. Berkowitz 17:43, 27 June 2009 (UTC)

I guess on its own "realignment" is also ambiguous. If disambiguation pages are developed for "partisan" and/or "realignment," it might pay to include "partisan realignment" on them, but this article on its own shouldn't necessitate them. Shamira Gelbman 20:14, 27 June 2009 (UTC)
