This should be a disambiguation page

I'm not sure there is a great deal of value in having a lemma that just notes that conservative parties are conservative. If people want to know about a particular political ideology like conservatism, they can go to a page like conservatism. And if they want to know about any particular party, there can be pages for those. If I'm typing "Conservative Party" into the search, I really expect a page listing all the different parties that have the name "Conservative Party". I'd suggest the best course of action is to move this lemma over to become "Conservative political parties" which could contain a brief description of conservatism and links to all the different conservative parties around the world, and then to have "Conservative party" redirect to "Conservative Party (disambiguation)" which would list all the political parties which are called "Conservative Party" or something very close to it (like, for instance, Canada's Progressive Conservative Party).

It would also be sensible if we were to make this a uniform thing across all pages about political parties. –Tom Morris 11:29, 15 September 2010 (UTC)
