Noddy Holder (born Neville John Holder in Walsall, England on 15 June 1946) was the lead vocalist with rock music groups The 'N Betweens (taking over from John Howells), Ambrose Slade, and Slade. He was also guitarist and backing vocalist for Steve Brett and The Mavericks. Holder's father Jack owned a window cleaning business and liked to sing in the local public houses, and his mother Leah (née Dean) played the violin. After the break-up of Slade, Holder appeared on various television programmes, notably The Grimleys, and has is own radio show. He also presented a series called Men and Motors.
