Mechlorethamine is a specific member of the class of nitrogen mustards, originally introduced as chemical weapons but now used medically as antineoplastic agents and immunosuppressants. "The hydrochloride is used as an antineoplastic in Hodgkin's disease and lymphomas. It causes severe gastrointestinal and bone marrow damage."[1]

Its primary indications are for Hodgkin's disease and non-Hodgkin's lymphoma.[2]
