Lamb's lettuce and corn salad are the common names of Valeriana locusta, an herb grown for salad greens.

Lamb's lettuce is native to southern Europe, and it is still primarily cultivated in Europe, though it has spread to North America and northern Africa. It also occurs as a weed in grain fields of Europe and America. It produces bland greens which are used to balance the bitter taste of other ingredients.
