I have spoken to Terence Mc Carthy and we have agreed that you may use 
pictures for The Story of Earth and Life for your article on citizen.org 
on condition that you include:

“Copyright: name of the person who took the photograph which is printed next 
to the photograph in our book. Source: The Story of Earth & Life: a southern 
African perspective on a 4.6-billion-year journey by Terence McCarthy and Bruce 
Rubidge”

Hi Bruce

For our taphonomy course, Lee gave us an assignment to write an article on 
citizendium.org. (the new wikipedia). I have included in my article some pictures 
from The Story of Earth and Life. They are all credited to you and Spike, but the 
adminstrator is asking for written permission from you as well. I have labeled all 
your images as copyright and not permitted for commercial use.

Additionally I have also used some pictures from Colin MacRae's book. I wonder if 
you can give me contact details for him so I can obtain permission there as well.
