The term Creole can refer to:
- Creole (language) [r]: A native language which originated as a pidgin (a rudimentary language without native speakers, created by at least two groups of people to allow immediate communication); such a situation might occur when a colonial culture is imposed on a native one. Haitian creole is a well-known example. [e]
- Creole (people) [r]: People of mixed ancestry, generally colonial and indigenous. Depending on context, the term can be merely descriptive or highly pejorative. [e]
- Creole (food) [r]: A style of cuisine that originated in New Orleans, Louisiana, which combines aspects of French, Spanish, African, and Native American cooking. [e]
