Dear Todd, Thank you for your email. Since my collection is now available in the new LUNA browser from Luna Imaging, every object in my collection has a unique URL, something which might be helpful in your resource. You can also download a jpg from the Detail View of an image, or gather many images together in a Media Group and then do a mass export from the Media Group. And of course as your pointed out there is also the MrSid download capability. Please feel free to add the objects from my collection to your resource. Please credit the David Rumsey Map Collection, www.davidrumsey.com.
To download the high resolution MrSid file from the new LUNA Browser:
1. Search for the image using the Keyword search box, or from the Category Page
2. Click on the image once to bring it into the Detail View
3. The data appears on the left, scroll down to where the 2 hyperlinks are.
4. Download the MrSid viewer.
5. Download the MrSid file.
6. Open the MrSid file in the MrSid viewer.
7. Convert and export the file in the MrSid viewer to your desired size.
NOTE: this can only be done on a Windows machine, NOT on a Mac.
To download just a jpeg file from the new LUNA Browser:
1. Search for the image using the Keyword search box, or from the Category Page
2. Click on the image once to bring it into the Detail View
3. Click on the Export icon in the upper right
4. Follow the prompts to select where to save the exported zipped file
