I am the research director at the Center for Media and Democracy, a nonprofit organization. I am also the founder of our own wiki, SourceWatch. In addition, I am the co-author, with John Stauber, of several books including "Toxic Sludge Is Good For You: Lies, Damned Lies and the Public Relations Industry," "Trust Us, We're Experts: How Industry Manipulates Science and Gambles With Your Future," "Weapons of Mass Deception: the Uses of Propaganda in Bush's War on Iraq," "Banana Republicans: How the Right Wing is Turning America Into a One-party State," and "The Best War Ever: Lies, Damned Lies and the Mess in Iraq."

I am a graduate of Princeton University (BA in English, 1982) and serve on the board of directors of the Wisconsin Coordinating Council on Nicaragua. I also edit sporadically on Wikipedia.
